The “More” tab

Performance, language, diagnostics, backups, and project links.

Quick access to any feature

Inside the extension press Ctrl / Cmd + K and start typing a name — search opens the feature and highlights it. The section anchors on this page match the extension’s features.

Performance Dashboard

Shows in real time how VKify affects the page, popup, and background process.

How it works

  • Metrics refresh every second: page/popup/worker memory, initialization time, heavy features, API calls, style and script size, and observer subscriptions.
  • Charts cover page load, API calls per minute, DOM mutations, and subscriptions. Page heap is Chromium-only.
  • The registry groups features by impact and category and shows initialization order, dependencies, and DOM-layer use.
  • A mini widget can display FPS, active features, API, and heap over vk.ru; its position can be reset.
  • Reset heavy disables active heavy features. Export saves a JSON report for diagnostics or support.
  • Page metrics require an open VK tab; without one, only popup and background-process data are available.

Quick access. Ctrl/Cmd + K → “Performance Dashboard”, or “More” → “Performance”.

Interface language

Switches the popup between Russian and English.

How it works

  • The choice applies immediately without reloading the extension. It changes VKify only, not VK’s own language.

Quick access. “More” → “Language”.

API method and diagnostics

Shows how VKify reaches the VK API and helps identify why a feature is unavailable.

How it works

  • Native API uses an open VK tab without a separate token; Token API sends requests with an access token.
  • If the API is unavailable, open vk.ru and refresh the status. Friends, dialogs, and tracking features may otherwise be limited.
  • Extension Diagnostics opens a technical summary suitable for attaching to a bug report.

Quick access. “More” → “API method”.

Data management

Creates a settings backup, restores one, or returns the extension to its initial state.

How it works

  • Export downloads a JSON file with settings and local data supported by the current version.
  • Import accepts a VKify JSON file, validates it, and applies the values. Review privacy, hotkeys, and automation afterward because they may differ between devices.
  • Reset all restores defaults and asks for confirmation. It is irreversible, so export first.

Quick access. Ctrl/Cmd + K → “Export settings”, “Import settings”, or “Reset settings”.
