VKify 2.0.0: a new interface and more ways to use VK

VKify 2.0.0 brings together redesigned settings, page appearance and account tools. The 2.0.0 changelog covers changes since 1.8.6.

Settings and appearance

Settings sections have new dashboards and adaptive sidebar navigation. A “VKify settings” entry opens the extension from VK. Menu items and separators can be reordered, and visual guides help you find the settings after installation.

• Drag the page layout editor handles inside VK to adjust content width and position, preview changes and save them.
• Choose wallpaper from VK photo and video galleries or provide a link. Set photos as wallpaper, use smooth transitions and schedule day/night backgrounds.
• Five new avatar shapes: Arch, Shield, Egg, Pebble and Pillow.

Widgets and music

The Widgets tab supports a dock or free placement, adjustable order, size, opacity and glass backgrounds. Added edge auto-hide, visibility on VK Video and an ad-blocking statistics widget.

• Clocks offer appearance presets, time, date and background controls in overlay and widget modes. The floating mini-player opens downloads, the equalizer and lyrics.
• Synced lyrics have appearance controls and widget output. Portal, Prism and Nebula join the music visualizer styles.

Account tools

• Browse attachments from one conversation or all chats, search and filter them, download selected files and export the list. Voice messages can be downloaded too.
• Refine conversation message counts, mark selected chats as read, audit friends and review community subscription activity.
• Photo, video and document catalogs offer search, filters, file selection and ZIP downloads. Upload media to VK, download video playlists and export account data.
• VK API actions, community member parsing and automatic friend requests provide previews, confirmations, limits, queues and reports.

Privacy, notifications and fixes

New controls cover anonymous story viewing, keeping VK notifications unread, messenger filters, the make-profile-public block, video recommendations and VK Premium promotions. Telegram supports online, activity and profile alerts plus forwarding new messages.

Save and restore settings through VK documents; Firefox can check for extension updates. Music downloads now support vkuseraudio.ru, request access to audio CDNs and explain when permission is missing. Album artwork and lyrics are restored in downloaded MP3 files. Fixes also address disappearing lyrics, widget synchronization, wallpaper restoration from backups and notes being lost during concurrent changes from multiple tabs. Notes can now save attachments and display images in galleries.
