ReleaseVKify 1.8.5 blocks spoken ads between tracks
In version 1.8.5, the VKify Music filter can block spoken ads inserted by VK between tracks. Protection acts before the advertising audio and related resources load.
No extra permissions
We extended the existing in-page telemetry blocker. No new hosts or permissions were added to the manifest, and declarativeNetRequest is not used. The existing Music ad switch controls the feature.
Every block is visible
Interceptions are not discarded: they increment the ad counter and are recorded under Stats and log, including the time, ad domain, request URL, and network blocking method.
A refreshed first run
The welcome dialog is now cleaner and more compact, uses the project’s existing icons, and links directly to vk.ru/vkify_settings. Settings also provide links to the relevant documentation sections.
Enable Music under Ads and enjoy your queue without spoken ad breaks.
Music on VK is no longer interrupted by ad breaks: VKify blocks their network requests, counts every hit, and records it in the log.
