A color picker of our own, live preview, and navigation that doesn’t jump
1.7.1 is about the little things that make the extension nicer to use every day.
A color picker of our own
Theme, accent, and wallpaper colors used to be chosen through the browser’s system dialog — different in every browser and not always convenient. Now it’s our own picker: it looks the same in Chrome, Firefox, and Opera, opens above the interface, and never gets clipped by the edge of the popup. The color on the page follows along smoothly, with no jitter.
See what you’re changing, instantly
Content width and offset are now live: the VK page adjusts as you drag the slider, not after you let go. It’s easier to land on the right value the first time.
We also reworked how you move between settings sections. The menu on the left and the content on the right are two separate columns with their own scroll, just like VK. Open a section and the menu stays put while the content shows from the top — no jerk downward. In a small window that noticeably saves space.
And the smaller stuff
Video downloads now catch the modal player on vk.com too — links like “?z=video-…”, not just vkvideo.ru pages. Plus a few hiding fixes: the chat list closes the gap after you hide a dialog, and the empty space left by a removed post box or stories no longer lingers, even when VK changes its markup.
Nothing loud — just a batch of rough edges smoothed out so you stop tripping over them.
Update 1.7.1 is about the small things: a color picker of our own instead of the system dialog, width and offset that change as you drag the slider, video downloads from the modal player, and settings that no longer lurch between sections.
