The “Ads” tab
Ad and tracker filters: sidebar, feed, analytics. The top shows how many filters are on and your overall protection.
Quick access to any feature
Inside the extension press Ctrl / Cmd + K and start typing a name — search opens the feature and highlights it. The section anchors on this page match the extension’s features.
Ads and recommendations by section
Ten independent switches let you remove only the promotional blocks that get in your way.
How it works
- Open the nested page to configure Feed, Games, Market, Calls, profile menu, Messenger, Music, Video, Communities, and the left menu separately.
- The Music filter removes subscription banners and offers, and also blocks spoken audio ad breaks between tracks at the network layer.
- These switches count toward the overall protection level and follow the “Enable protection” action.
- A separate Video switch hides recommendations and VK Premium promotions. Recommendation blocks in other sections have independent switches.

Ad blocking
Core filters count toward the overall protection level. The optional DOM keyword filter is separate and off by default.
What it hides
- Sidebar — Hides ad banners and widgets in the left column
- Feed · API filter — Intercepts promo posts at the network level — they never reach the page
- Tracker blocking — Intercepts analytics, telemetry, and ad networks
- Audio ads — Blocks network requests for spoken ads between music tracks
Quick access. Ctrl/Cmd + K → “Hide left ad block”, “Cut feed ads (API)”, or “Tracker blocking”.
Keyword filter
An optional DOM filter that is off by default. It hides posts — or always keeps them — based on words in the text.
How it works
- Block list — posts containing these words leave the feed.
- Allow list — exception words: those posts stay, even if another filter would catch them.
Quick access. Ctrl/Cmd + K → “Ads” → “Keyword filter” (needs the DOM filter on).
Stats and log
How many ads and trackers were blocked all-time, plus a log of recent hits with filters and details.
How it works
- Separate counters for ads and trackers.
- A log of recent blocks with an “All / Ads / Trackers” filter and paged loading.
- For audio ads, the log shows the network blocking method, domain, and request URL.
- The log also counts hidden section recommendation blocks; summaries and filters distinguish them from ads and trackers.
