The “Tracking” tab

Three activity monitors: message events, online sessions, and profile changes.

These features use the VK API and need access to an open VK tab. Respect other people’s privacy and the platform rules.

Quick access to any feature

Inside the extension press Ctrl / Cmd + K and start typing a name — search opens the feature and highlights it. The section anchors on this page match the extension’s features.

Message activity

Receives conversation events through Long Poll and shows them for everyone or selected people only.

How it works

  • Choose “Everyone” or add specific people, then enable only the events you need: typing, voice, uploads, reads, edits, deletes, messages, calls, and chat events.
  • Browser notifications control system popups; Save log keeps a history inside VKify.
  • Monitoring continues only while a VK tab is open in the browser. Closing it stops the event stream.

Quick access. Ctrl/Cmd + K → “Chat activity”, or “Tracking” → “Message activity”.

Online monitoring

Checks when selected users come online or leave and builds activity statistics.

How it works

  • Add friends and set an interval. Sixty seconds or more is recommended for stable operation and lower VK API load.
  • VKify shows current state, last seen, an overall chart, per-user details, and comparisons.
  • Visit history is retained for seven days. Notifications and log recording can be controlled separately.

Quick access. Ctrl/Cmd + K → “Online monitoring”, or “Tracking” → “Online monitoring”.

Profile tracking

Periodically compares profile data through the VK API and reports changes.

How it works

  • For every added user, track avatar, status text, and changes in friend count.
  • Keep the interval around 5–15 minutes; more frequent checks can hit VK API limits.
  • System notifications and the change log are independent. The same page lets you open or clear the log.

Quick access. Ctrl/Cmd + K → “Profile tracking”, or “Tracking” → “Profile tracking”.
